Short update
What I didn’t really expect happened, and a 1% chance doesn’t mean it’s completely impossible. So the course for this year remains the same as usual, with overnight stays at RS Husárna and ATC Ždáň. The first accommodation will be a little different from previous years—a bit more punk—you’ll see for yourselves, but we’ll make it!
We’ve also confirmed Monča as our physical therapist, so make sure you give it your all during the race so you have a reason to get fixed up ![]()
It’s getting close, so as for other news, I’ll just say that Budějovice record-holder Tomáš Pavlík has promised to participate and will try to take the title back from his brother. And on top of that, we have the comeback of the year #2. Lukáš Horák, an outstanding long-distance paddler who placed seventh in the K1 at the 2004 World Champs, competed in the first edition of the Budějovice race, and it apparently left such a mark on him that he’s only returning to the starting line this year. I have no doubt he’ll be looking to shake up the top rankings!
